Hemlock, Michigan - The Hemlock High School Art Club has taken on a new project that is capturing the attention of the local community. With the support of business owners in the area, the art club has been working tirelessly for the last few weeks to update a prominent mural in downtown Hemlock.
The mural, which serves as a focal point for anyone driving west on M-46/Gratiot, is going to be a point of pride for the community for many years. The building owner approached the art students and the HHS Public Arts class with a request for assistance, and the product we are all seeing unfold is the fruit of that collaborative relationship.
Under the direction of teacher Rae Ann Woodcock, the students in the HHS Art Club have been putting their creativity and artistic skills to work to update the mural. Their hard work and dedication have already started to pay off, as the mural has begun to take on a new life.
"This project has been a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their talent and give back to the community," said Rae Ann Woodcock. "We are thrilled to be a part of this effort and to see the positive impact it will have on the community."
The Hemlock High School Art Club has a long-standing reputation for excellence in the arts, and this project is just one example of its commitment to excellence and service. The community can look forward to seeing the updated mural and enjoying it for many years to come.
