K.C. Ling and Hemlock Elementary schools recently welcomed renowned author and illustrator Ruth McNally Barshaw to celebrate March is Reading Month. The acclaimed author's visit was a resounding success, leaving both students and staff inspired and motivated to read and write.
Ruth McNally Barshaw, the author of the popular Ellie McDoodle series of children's books, shared her experiences as an author and illustrator, and talked about the creative process behind her books. She captivated the students with her storytelling skills, reading from her latest book, and engaging them in a fun and interactive doodling session.
The visit was a fantastic opportunity for the students to meet a successful author and illustrator, learn about the world of children's literature, and gain insights into the creative process. The event inspired the students and instilled a love of reading and writing in them.
