Shoutout to Dennis Lillywhite and Chloe Richnak for their outstanding achievement. 🏆 They were recognized at the 28th Annual Turnaround Achievement Awards Ceremony hosted by Saginaw Intermediate School District. These awards celebrate students who've shown remarkable academic and personal growth.
Mr. Stedry had this to say about this year's middle school Turnaround Achievement Award winner: "Chloe has shown a tremendous turnaround during this school year. She is currently pulling off near straight A’s, a significant improvement from years past. Chloe has come out of her shell this year. She has demonstrated confidence in herself from the hallways to the classroom. Chloe has found the fortitude in communicating with staff around the school, in asking questions or simply wanting to share in small talk. This is such a pleasant and positive change in her from the shy, reserved Chloe of old. I am proud to give Chloe my nomination for this year's Turnaround Award."
In regards to our high school award winner, Shawn Enright, our Hemlock Virtual Teacher, proudly stated: "This year, it was an easy decision to nominate Dennis Lillywhite for the Turnaround Award. Dennis is the true definition of a turnaround student. After a rough start and several unproductive years, he made a drastic change this year, completing 12 credits and finishing classes two months early! Dennis plans to pursue a career as an electrician at Delta College, and I am confident he will excel. Dennis, I am so proud of you and wish you happiness and success in all you do!"
We're proud of their dedication and perseverance. #TurnaroundAchievement #Huskietastic #HemlockStrong #LifeReadyHPSD
