Hemlock Public School District Board of Education regularly honors individuals or groups for outstanding work and contributions to student success. This past month was no different. The Board of Education honored Hemlock Middle School teacher, Kyle Wilkowski at their regular September meeting.
Middle School Principal Terry Keyser nominated Kyle for his outstanding work with children. He stated, “Kyle is a respected member of the Hemlock Public School District instructional team, goes above and beyond the normal duties, and is passionate about science and working with students.”
The Middle School science program continues to make improvements with salmon in the classroom project, robotics, and more.
Kyle graciously accepted the honor in the presence of support staff, teachers, administrators, students, and community members in attendance at the board meeting.
Matt Wesener, Board Vice President said, "We have so many great employees at Hemlock doing wonderful things and this is a way to say thank you to people like Kyle who give so much positive time and energy in truly making a difference for our kids!"
Superintendent Don Killingbeck said, “This is one way we try to acknowledge the hard work and efforts of our employees. I would encourage everyone to nominate someone who goes above and beyond for recognition.”
