It was a packed house this past Saturday for the annual Huskie Wrestling Invitational. The gym was buzzing in anticipation for the 13-team tournament. Hemlock, despite not being able to fill every weight class, finished the team event in 4th place.
Hemlock proved up to the task placing 4 wrestlers in the event. Hunter Emmedorfer started things off for Hemlock with a 5th place finish. Landow Zastrow had a strong showing in a second-place finish. Liam Zastrow and Luke McGregor were both champions of their respective weight class.
Coach Dwenger said of the day, “It was a great tournament for all of our Hemlock wrestlers. Our new wrestlers continue to get better each day and our returners led us to a strong team finish. Each coach and team thanked Hemlock for running an outstanding tournament.”
Athletic Director Cory Snider added, “I was pleased to see our wrestlers and coaches work so hard throughout the day. It was a pleasure to watch them compete at a high level and have some excellent results.”
