We understand that getting healthy isn't just a "walk in the park", but we do believe that a community making strides together to connect and move does make a big difference in our overall health. In collaboration with BWELL and the Saginaw Country Health Department, we're making strides to become one of the top 10 healthiest counties.
Join us for a community walk on Wednesday, May 8th at 5:00 pm in Richland Township Park as we #PullTheSled for a healthier Hemlock.

Introducing Taylor Wilson, the focus of our next Alumni Spotlight and a graduate of Hemlock High School's class of 2008.
During his time at Hemlock, Taylor was involved in Industrial Arts, PRESS (peer-to-peer), and Work Study. His fondest memories revolve around the close-knit community, where he formed lasting friendships.
After graduation, Taylor pursued his passion for automotive technology, becoming a State Certified Automotive Technician and an ASE Certified Master Technician. He credits Hemlock High School for providing relevant courses and real-life work experiences that prepared him for his career.
Two staff members, Ms. McInerney and Mr. Marietta, made a lasting impact on Taylor by recognizing his potential and encouraging his growth.
Currently, Taylor thrives as an Auto Technician at McDonald Auto Group. He enjoys the daily challenge of problem-solving and is one of two technicians certified in electrical services.
For current Huskies, Taylor advises that post-graduation success doesn't necessarily require a four-year college degree. There are various paths to pursue, and it's essential to find what resonates with you.
Taylor's journey from Hemlock High School to a successful career in automotive technology exemplifies the importance of pursuing relevant education and seizing the opportunities that come your way. We're honored to spotlight his venture and celebrate his ongoing success in a field he's passionate about.

It's #TeacherFeatureTuesday and today we're featuring the kind-hearted Karrah Chludil, a teacher to our little Huskies in Young 5’s here at our Hemlock Elementary School.
We wanted you to get to know Mrs. Chludil a little better, so here are some fun facts about her:
• Her favorite subject in school was English, and she enjoyed both reading and writing.
• If she won the lottery and decided to give up her position at HPSD, she would become a school decorator and classroom assistant. She says she'd have the best decorated school out there!
• When she was a kid, she wanted to be a paramedic. Now she feels she'd be the worst paramedic as she does not like "anything gross or related to nursing".
• Her favorite animal? After going to the Toledo zoo, orangutans are her favorite animal. In fact, they even like to watch them on the live zoo cameras in her classroom.
• We asked her how she thinks her students would remember her, and she said, "I think that my students will remember our fun celebrations, including all of the U of M days that we celebrate. Go Blue!"
We’re so thrilled to have you in our Huskie Pack, Mrs. Chludil!
