Hi, Parents and Community Friends:
As you may already know, all of us who live within the boundaries of our school district will make an important decision about the future of Hemlock Public School District at the polls on Tuesday, November 5.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to share with you what this election is all about – as the School Board voted unanimously last month to bring this proposal to you and other voters this fall.
I am hosting a community meeting on Tuesday, September 24th at 7 PM at our High School Larry Gariglio Theatre. Our building Principals will also be hosting meetings in October to help inform our community about some of the wonderful things we are currently doing to, "Help Our Kids Win the Race."
School Board members and I are hopeful our community will continue to support high-quality public education for our children the way it always has since 1863. This is why the campaign theme for our November 5 Sinking Fund Proposal is “Help Our Kids Win the Race!”
We want to keep Hemlock Public School District moving in the right direction. We are effectively preparing our students for future success and the approval of our Sinking Fund request will ensure this continues for many years to come.
Obviously, I hope you'll choose to stay up-to-date with HPSD and remain fully in-the-know about our upcoming November 5 election.
As always, I invite your ideas and questions – as it will take all of us to “Help Our Kids Win the Race!”
All the best,
Don Killingbeck, Superintendent
