Student of the Week: Drew Genow
This week, Hemlock High School is proud to shine the spotlight on sophomore Drew Genow as our Student of the Week! Drew exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated and driven student-athlete, inspiring those around him with his work ethic, leadership, and positive attitude.
For Drew, one of the best parts of being a student at Hemlock is attending practices and seeing his friends daily. His favorite school activities, football and lifting, have fueled his passion for athletics and taught him the importance of teamwork and perseverance.
“My biggest inspiration is my coaches,” Drew shared. “They push me to be my best and have taught me so many valuable lessons on and off the field.”
Drew's ambition doesn’t stop at high school. He plans to attend St. Clair County Community College (SCC), where he hopes to study sports medicine and physical therapy. His goal is to help others achieve their best, a trait he already demonstrates at Hemlock.
Principal Keith Green praised Drew as a "leader by example to his peers." He noted, “Drew works hard at being his best and has the special ability to make those around him better.”
Congratulations, Drew, on being named Hemlock High School’s Student of the Week! Your dedication and determination inspire us all. Keep up the amazing work!
