8th grade girls basketball team, "The 9 Incredibles," fought as a team to conquer the St. Charles Bulldogs 34-31 last Tuesday. Regan Finkbeiner put up 13 points and Chloe Watson drained 12: both girls had 4 steals and made critical free-throws at the end to help ensure the win. Ella Wardlow showed her strength down low to pull down 13 rebounds and added 6 points. Breanna Turner had 2 steals and sunk 3 points for the Huskies. Averi Hall added 4 steals to help keep Hemlock on top. Alyssa Dearman worked under the basket to also add rebounds for her team. The team stayed strong for a well deserved victory. Congratulations girls on your 4-0 record.
7th grade girls basketball-was a dogfight in the gym last Tuesday night as the hometown Huskies played host to the St Charles Bulldogs. But in the end it was the visitors who did most of the barking beating our girls 43-15. Scoring for the Huskies were Madi Penny who led the team with 4. Jaedyn Mallek and Mya Wunsch each put in 3. Corrina Gomez and Logann Clayton added a basket each and Emma Streich knocked down a free throw. Nataly Bodziachowski played a great defensive game with several steals and the shortest girl on the team - Sophia Hauffe - grabbed 413 rebounds!
